Things still haven't worked out for Portland in the postseason and the team is now on the verge of being swept. The Trail Blazers are down 0-3 and playing Monday night to keep their postseason alive after Saturday's 115-109 loss to Memphis. Game 3 was the team's first single-digit loss of the series, and while Portland showed improvement at home, the effort still wasn't enough to take a game from the Grizzlies - even without Grizzlies starting point guard Mike Conley.

Portland forward Nicolas Batum led with 26 points and was one of four Trail Blazers - C.J. McCollum with 26, Damian Lillard with 22 and LaMarcus Aldridge with 21 - to score more than 20 points in the game.

"I've got to give credit to Memphis, they definitely forced us into some tough shots," Aldridge said, according to ESPN. "I was watching film from the first half: Every time I took a shot, they had a guy right there, and sometimes three guys. They have some defensive goals, and it's tough."

For Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts, the Game 3 loss was especially deflating.

"We had the momentum, we hit some shots, the crowd was behind us and I thought it was going to be one of those games where we find a way to pull it out," he said.

Memphis found a way to win despite losing Conley in the third quarter. Conley left after suffering a facial injury and subsequently underwent surgery. He'll be out Monday and could be sidelined for weeks, according to OregonLive.
