Louisiana police say a Christian school math teacher admitted to having sex with a 15-year-old student and that she was sorry for taking his "innocence," according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by The Times-Picayune.

Amber Anderson, a 27-year-old teacher at Christian Life Academy in Baton Rouge, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile after she had an inappropriate two-month relationship with the teen in 2013, including sending him naked pictures and having sex at her home multiple times, the affidavit said.

At the time, the victim's mother came across text messages exchanged between her then 15-year-old son and Anderson. She reportedly expressed her concern to the school, but it's not clear if the school took any action.

The teen told East Baton Rouge sheriffs he obtained Anderson's phone number from another student and began texting the teacher in April 2013.

"The victim advised that as time progressed, he and the accused became very close to one another, and the messages began to become sexual in nature," reads the affidavit.

They began exchanging nude photos and started having sex in July, the student told police. They arranged meetings at a fast food restaurant close to his home. There, Anderson would pick him up and drive to her home, according to the affidavit.

When the teen's mother found the texts, he had already deleted most of them so his mother still didn't know how far things had gone. She eventually learned the truth from a former Christian Life Academy student and notified East Baton Rouge police.

Anderson was interviewed this month by sheriffs and admitted to having sex with the student. She apologized for "taking the victim's innocence," The Times-Picayune reported.

After the teacher's arrest, Christian Life Academy founder Jere Melilli hinted that she will be fired and said he was not told of the allegations against her two years ago.

"I do not know anything about this," he told WDAM. "We would have taken care of it then and she would no longer have been working for us that day I heard."
