New England Patriots quarterback Tim Tebow briefly discussed his former Gators teammate, Aaron Hernandez.  After a less than stellar practice on Friday, coupled with coach Bill Belichick's latest comments, Tebow playing at another position remains a possibility.

Tebow became the latest Patriot, albeit briefly, to touch on Hernandez's murder charge.

"It was heartbreaking," Tebow said, via the Boston Herald.  "But you know, we've been advised, as I'm sure you've all heard a bunch of times, not to comment on the ongoing legal investigation, so I'm not going to comment further.  But it's just heartbreaking, sad and all my thoughts and prayers go out to all the families that were involved."

Asked if he is praying for Hernandez, Tebow said, "Of course."

Meanwhile, Tebow didn't enjoy a great day at practice.  Nate Ebner and Chandler Jones each intercepted a pass from the former Heisman-winner, and one of his throws failed to even reach its intended receiver, according to the Herald.

The poor practice doesn't help quell speculation that Tebow could move to tight end, adding depth to a position depleted by Hernandez's release and Rob Gronkowski's uncertain status following back surgery.  On Friday, Belichick didn't rule out the possibility of Tebow playing at another position.

Still, Friday was Tebow's first time taking live reps during practice.  There's the possibility he will improve with more time in the system, and he's excited to have the opportunity.

"It was fun," Tebow said after practice.  "A lot of fun to get out here and start practicing.  This is our fourth practice (for the rookies and quarterbacks) and everyone, I feel like, has gotten better.  But this is the first one with everybody out here, and it was a lot of fun.

"You've got a great coaching staff, great players getting to watch one of the best ever play the game in Tom (Brady), so it's been a lot of fun for me."
