DMX arrested again? Rapper and actor DMX has been arrested again in South Carolina and charged with driving under the influence, according to TMZ.

The 42-year-old rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested early Friday after he was busted for drunk driving at 3 a.m. He was also charged with not having a driver's license.

"Allegations about DMX being arrested for drunk driving are false. He was arrested early this morning but quickly released. X was given a breathalyzer test and easily passed it," a rep for the rapper told MTV News in a written statement, adding that the rapper was charged with driving without a license.

This is not the first time that DMX has been arrested. Simmons was arrested last year in nearby Spartanburg County for suspicion of driving without a license. Following his arrest, the rapper was free to go after he paid a fine. In another incident, DMZ was arrested in a Phoenix suburb in 2011 after a trooper clocked him driving at 102 mph. He had recently finished a stint in prison on probation revocation for failing to submit to drug testing and driving without a license.

"No, I didn't have a license ... put the cuffs on me; brought me here. I paid the money. Basically, just five hours wasted for nothing," he told a local Fox station after the February arrest.

In the most recent case, TMZ reports that jail records show he has been released. It was not clear if he had an attorney with him or not.

"He is back at his home in South Carolina and we are continuing our focus on his upcoming album and acting roles," his rep told MTV News.
