After years spent in supporting roles Chris Pratt is set to debut in the second big leading role in "Jurassic World," which will undoubtedly become a summer blockbuster.

Appearing even more fit and buff than for his role in "Guardians of the Galaxy," Pratt is Owen Grady, the lead character of the Steven Spielberg film Star Pulse reported.

Pratt's character is a dinosaur-tamer of sorts who seeks the aid of dangerous Velociraptors to defeat a dino-hybrid, Indominus Rex, the publication reports.

Unlike in past "Jurassic Park" films, the raptors in "Jurassic World" are portrayed as allies ready to help humans. In the new global trailer recently released by Universal Pictures, Pratt is seen trying to communicate with raptors, according to Huffington Post.

Like the previous "Jurassic" movies, there are two youngsters, played by actors Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson, who find themselves trapped in a vehicle and almost eaten by the dinosaur hybrid.

The "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor will be joined by Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays the park's head scientist.

The latest Jurassic film is directed by Collin Trevorrow, who was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award in 2013 and is based on a novel by bestselling author Michael Crichton.
