We’ll get to the Marin Family/Detective Wilden Saga in a bit, but first let’s recap what happened with the other liars.

In Season 4 Episode 5 one of Mike’s friends teases Aria about her relationship with Ezra. (The kid tried to kiss her and when Aria denied him, he decided to embarrass her in front of the guys in the locker room. So, Mike promptly bashes the kids car with a bat.) Mona reveals to Aria and Emily that Toby took the trailer—unfortunately Spencer says they will just have to trust her. And trusting Spencer, isn’t something Emily is willing to do—to the point where she asks Mona for more information.

Spencer decides to follow the “Mrs. Grunwald” lead and heads to the creepiest town in the world with Toby. Spencer asks the former sorority mother if she knew Ali or Ali’s alias Vivian and of course she doesn’t. (Also, she’s probably lying.)

Oh, did I mention the town where Mrs. Grunwald lives is ridiculously creepy. After Toby and Spencer leave the hair salon where they found Grunwald, Spencer sees a group of people slowly moving to one spot in the gray town—yes—the town is gray. Not just the sky…the entire town.

Naturally they go to find out where the creepy people are going. What do they find? More creepiness. In addition to the gray people there’s also music that you’d find in a catholic church playing on the town loud speakers.

So what does Spencer find when she joins the townspeople? She see’s they’ve all gathered to stare at a statue of an angel holding some pink flowers. More importantly, she sees Shana. Toby and Spencer see her get into Jenna’s car and speed away. They hop into the car and follow. Shana randomly ends up at the café playing her violin at the end of the episode.

Now, to the Wilden case.

When Hannah arrived in the station, instead of giving her the third degree Detective Tanner asks her to stop protecting whoever she’s protecting (meaning her mother.) Pretty soon, Hannah’s bail is paid and she is allowed to leave.

Fast forward to the Marin house, and Ashley, Tom and Hannah are all arguing. Ashley continues to claim her innocence saying she’s was framed. Tom asks the magic question—who’s framing you?

We know and Hannah knows. A also seems to know that Hannah knows, so she/he/they send her a friendly reminder saying if she tells her parents who framed her mom…they both go to prison.

Naturally, Hannah needs help. Emily decides to take the wheel. Emily explains to Hannah that while Hannah’s hands may be tied because of A’s warning, Emily’s are not. (C’mon Emily. When A tells one liar not to do something…the warning is usually universal.)

Regardless, Emily asks for the footage showing Shana and Jenna dragging Detective Wilden’s body away (the tape that also features Hannah’s mom) and eventually Hannah relinquishes the tape.

On Emily’s mission, she leaves the DVD on the lady detective’s desk and with a note asking her to watch the video.

However, we get to the end of the episode and the lady detective brings Emily in to watch the video that was left on her desk—only it’s not the video Emily left.

It’s a video with a girl, who looks like Emily, standing in a red coat and a mask holding a sign which says “Guilty.” The note left on the DVD is not in the same hand writing as Emily. (A warned her. Well, kind off. A warned Hannah but like I said, a warning to one Liar is a warning to all Liars.)

Eventually we get the inevitable. Ashley is arrested for the murder of Detective Wilden. According to Tanner, the gun Hannah found was the same as the gun used in the Wilden’s murder.

A makes his/her/their regular appearance at the end—breaking into a car, jumpstarting it and fixing the rearview mirror to reveal someone in a Mona mask.
