Zayn Malik is set to make his first public appearance (since he quit pop boy band One Direction) very soon.

The former 1D member will attend Britain's Asian Awards on April 17, according to Hollywood Life.

The 22-year-old now-solo artist is expected to attend the ceremony with music producer Naughty Boy, with whom he recently spent a lot of time with in a studio to record new songs.

An invite was reportedly sent out that revealed that Zayn would be in attendance at London's Grovesnor House Hotel for a big party, as well.

The singer is one of the British Asian Trust ambassadors, Hollywood Life reported. The awards show highlights achievements from within the growing Asian community.

After his departure from the band, there was reportedly "no bad blood" between Malik and the rest of the boys.

The remaining four members of One Direction - Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan - recently released their first photo as a quartet, and have begun writing songs on Monday for a new album.

"My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band. I'd like to apologize to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight. I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world," Malik said in an official statement on March 25.
