"The Voice" kicked off the long awaited Live Rounds with the Top 12 giving powerful performances and leaving everything on the stage. With no steals, no saves and two eliminations in play, there was a lot at stake on Monday night.

Not one of the singers failed to give a worthy performance, but some were more stellar than others, earning standing ovations from all four coaches as well as their high praise.

Rob Taylor from Team Christina Aguilera received one of those ovations after he belted out Nina Simone's classic, "I Put A Spell On You."

"That's the kind of performance I came back to 'The Voice' for," Aguilera said following the performance.

Taylor was proud of his performance the reception he got from each of the coaches.

"I'm grateful that they received what I did. I tried something new with my register, which was something Christina pulled out of me, so it feels great it was received so well," the Louisiana native told Headlines & Global News.

Sawyer Fredericks, who the coaches consider the frontrunner, performed a stirring rendition of John Lennon's "Imagine." He also garnered high praise despite missing one 'high note.' Adam Levine said his performance "transcends any kind of coaching."

A self-described perfectionist, Fredericks beat himself up a little bit for missing that one high note.

"When I'm singing I normally try to pick up the song right after I don't hit it and move on, but they congratulated me on pushing through," he told HNGN.

Team Pharrell's Koryn Hawthorne couldn't have given a stronger performance of Kelly Clarkson's hit "Stronger." She had a little extra pressure going into the night, having to perform the song in front of this week's mentor, country superstar Reba McEntire, who is Clarkson's mother-in-law.

"No pressure," Hawthorne joked after the show. "I'm a huge fan of Reba's. I watched her sitcom and she's very personable. A great role model, an amazing person and we talked about cooking food - how many people can you do that with?

Tough choices will be made tonight when the first eliminations come down.

"The Voice" airs at Monday and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
