"Wonder Woman" will premiere in 2017, but the problems have already started for the DC Comics movie.

Director Michelle MacLaren has left the project due to "creative differences" with Warner Bros. studios, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct 'Wonder Woman' together," the studio said in a statement.

MacLaren would have made her feature directorial debut on the superhero movie, which stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, a.k.a. Wonder Woman. MacLaren has previously directed episodes of TV shows "Breaking Bad," "The Walking Dead," "Game of Thrones" and "Better Call Saul."

Warner Bros. hired MacLaren last November after an exhaustive search for a female director to helm the female-led comic book movie.

Gadot will make her first appearance as the superheroine in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," out next spring. "Wonder Woman" is still expected to premiere on June 23, 2017.
