A California woman was arrested after a man recorded her hitting a 3-year-old boy across the face with what appears to be an iPad, according to the Press-Enterprise.

The woman identified as 39-year-old Yvonne Camargo of Victorville was arrested on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child after a video of the April 1 incident surfaced on YouTube.

A man who identified himself as Edward Moneyhanz said he began recording with his phone in the parking lot of a Kohl's store after he noticed a woman pulling a little boy by the hair.

The woman is seen wiping the toddler's face with a white cloth before placing him in the backseat of a Chevrolet sedan.

As the boy cries louder, she wipes his face again before reaching over to grab what appears to be an iPad, which she uses to hit him in the face, according to the video.

The woman doesn't know she is being recorded until the cameraman makes himself known.

"Hey, why are you hitting that kid like that?" he asks the shocked woman. "Why are you hitting that little baby?"

Another woman off camera is heard telling the alleged Camargo that she could go to jail.

"Hitting a f------ innocent kid that can't protect themselves," the woman said. "How do you feel hitting a kid?"

The woman doesn't say a word and gets into the car. The footage includes a shot of her license plate, which helped police identify Camargo after someone who saw the video complained.

It is not clear if Camargo was ever officially charged.
