In this HNGN Exclusive Interview, Private Investigator Dorian Bond goes one-on-one with HNGN true-crime Correspondent Jon Leiberman about the difficult task of keeping Jodi Arias off death row and what he's doing on her behalf to secure an appeal.

Arias was sentenced to life in prison without parole on Monday for the 2007 murder of her former lover Travis Alexander. He was found dead in his Arizona home with 30 stab wounds, including a gash across his throat, and a gunshot wound to the head. Police found a camera in Alexander's washing machine that was full of incriminating photos, including one of his bloody body in his bathtub.

NEWS: Jodi Arias Receives Life Sentence Without Parole For First-Degree Murder of Travis Alexander

The jury in her original trial convicted Arias of first-degree murder but was deadlocked on whether to sentence her to life in prison or the death penalty. A different jury in 2014 also could not decide, even though that trial was not televised or streamed on the Internet like the first one was.

There was also controversy surrounding one of the jurors, who was accused by other members of the jury as having an agenda and was publicly shamed by many. That juror, who voted against the ruling of capital punishment, was the deciding vote on the final opportunity to give her the death penalty.
