NBA free agent Nate Robinson is reportedly close to completing a deal with the Denver Nuggets.  Meanwhile, former Miami Heat swingman Mike Miller may be the team's next free agent target.

Denver is "on the verge" of signing Robinson, according to a source for USA Today Sports.  The deal is expected to be for two years and worth a combined $4.03 million, with a player option in the second season.  The Nuggets are using its bi-annual salary cap exception, the source added.

Robinson, 29, saw his free agency value improve with a great performance in the playoffs for the Chicago Bulls.  The journeyman point guard, who's played for five teams in eight seasons, averaged 16.3 points and 4.4 rebounds last postseason before his team fell to the Heat.

If the deal is finalized, Robinson will join a crowded backcourt that includes point guards Ty Lawson and Andre Miller.

The Nuggets' dip in free agency isn't over, either.  Miller is the Nuggets' next target, according to ESPN sources.  Denver is believed to be close to becoming a frontrunner for Miller, along with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies.

With the losses of Andre Iguodala and Corey Brewer, the Nuggets can promise Miller playing time.

Miami used its amnesty provision last week to waive Miller.  The 33-year-old is able to stretch the floor and create space - he shot 42 percent from three-point range during the regular season and 61 percent during the NBA Finals to help the Heat win its second straight championship.

Despite an ailing back, Miller is ready to play this season.

"I'm excited about the next spot," he told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, via ESPN.  "I'm re-energized.  I really am.  I'm just feeling healthy.  I'm ready to play.  I started to get back in [the gym] again last week and I can't wait to play again next year."
