Animal Planet will live stream the birth of a giraffe at the Dallas Zoo, and the mom is due any day now. Katie the giraffe, the Mom-to-be, is "one of the friendliest and most charismatic of the Dallas Zoo's large herd," Animal Planet reported.
Eight cameras positioned around Katie's maternity stall will capture the birth from every angle. The pregnant giraffe is usually out wandering around the expansive Giants of the Savanna habitat during the day, but usually comes into her stall for dinner and bed time around 5:00 Central Time. The Zookeepers are currently watching out for signs that Katie is ready to give birth.
