Miley Cyrus is frustrated that her music video for her hit single "We Can't Stop" had to be censored, and recently the former Disney star revealed to the Daily Mail that the original video was much raunchier, comparing its "lame" ultimate censorship to the George Zimmerman trial verdict.

"I just think the world is so lame because you can shoot people in a movie and you can let people like Zimmerman off on trial but you can't have someone going like this," said the singer, simulating an oral sex gesture. "That is so dumb to me."

"The world is such a f****d up place the last thing people need to worry about is my cute little video for We Can't Stop, you know what I mean?" she added.

While her raunchy and strange new video raised eyebrows of many, including those who felt Cyrus was using black people as props and appropriating elements of black culture to bolster her provocative new image (the star flashed a set of gold grills in the video and "twerked" with a number of black women), others have praised the video for its unique cinematography, fun vibe and strange imagery. Still, some parents were disturbed seeing the star with so many young fans from her Disney days acting so provocative on-camera.

"People need to also remember that Britney when she did 'Slave' or anything it was just a different time so it was less real because [for] 'We Can't Stop. I wanted it to be kind of gritty, like everything is about Instagram, about things going viral and I wanted to celebrate that," Cyrus told the Daily Mail of her latest video. "But Britney or Madonna never played it safe, none of the best pop artists ever did. I feel like I live in a different world, I live in LA, I see everything."

The singer was also under fire from some for the lyric in her song "dancing with molly," which her producer earlier claimed was in fact meant to be "dancing with Miley," denying any drug references.

When asked about the word choice and what the lyric really means, Cyrus explained, "It depends who's doing what. If you're aged ten it's 'Miley', if you know what I'm talking about then you know. I just wanted it to be played on the radio and they've already had to edit it so much."

"We Can't Stop" also includes references to cocaine ("Everybody in the line in the bathroom/Trying to get a line in the bathroom"), though the song also contains positive messages about embracing who you are ("Remember only God can judge ya/Forget the haters cause somebody loves ya.")

Even though she's broken Justin Bieber's record on Vevo, Cyrus's video for "We Can't Stop" almost has more dislikes on Youtube than likes. However, this hasn't seemed to phaze Cyrus, who has said previously she isn't concerned about alienating her fans with her new image.

"I don't think people have a hard time understanding that I've grown up," Cyrus said.
