Boy or girl? That is the question on everybody's mind today after hearing that Kate Middleton had been taken to St. Mary's Hospital in London in the early stages of labor. Kensington Palace confirmed that the Duchess, along with Prince William, had left the palace for the hospital earlier this morning. Middleton is reportedly doing fine and her labor was "progressing normally," the Palace said in a statement.

"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London in the early stages of labor," the statement read. "The Duchess traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge."

With the royal baby due any in any moment the world is excitedly waiting to find out whether Middleton will be giving birth to a future king or queen. Twitter is ablaze with what celebrities and the public thinks she will be having.

Actress Joan Collins think the royal baby will be a girl while Piers Morgan believes it will be a boy adding that the name will be George and "he" will weigh 8 pounds, 2 ounces.

It had been speculated that the baby would a little girl after Middleton almost revealed the sex of the baby. If it is a girl, popular names have been Alexandra, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Diana and Victoria while popular boy names have been George and James.

Twitter is ablaze with the public guessing what the gender will be and even national landmarks all across the world are anxiously waiting to find out the sex. According to Today.com, New Zealand will light up more than 20 national buildings and landmarks in either pink or blue hues. Canada will also be joining in on the festivities and will light the CN Tower and the Niagara Falls in pink or blue once the royal baby arrives.

Park officials at the Niagara Falls have even created a Facebook page encouraging people to vote on what the sex of the baby will be. So far, Today reports, 62 percent believe it will be a girl. The cupcake chain Sprinkles is even celebrating with their own "Royal Cupcakes."
