A satellite interview between Mario Lopez and Ryan Reynolds went horribly wrong on Wednesday when Deadpool showed up on Lopez's set.

Lopez and Reynolds were discussing the movie rating for "Deadpool" when the red-suited anti-hero crept up behind the "Extra" host and whacked him upside the head, killing him. As he stalked away, Deadpool called April Fool's on the PG-13 rating and said, "'Deadpool' will of course be rated R."

JoBlo Movie Trailers released the footage which debuted Reynolds in full costume as the "Merc with a Mouth." The foul-mouthed mercenary also squeezed in a couple "Saved by the Bell" jabs as he walked off screen.

"It's OK Jessie, Slater cant' hurt you anymore," Deadpool said as he held up a child's drawing of Deadpool with his arms in the air standing over Lopez's dead body. Underneath the sketch was written, "Mario Lopez (1973-2015) R.I.P."

JoBlo also revealed the first synopsis for the "Deadpool" movie from 20th Century Fox:

"A former Special Forces operative turned mercenary is subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers and adopts the alter ego Deadpool."

Reynolds premiered the first look at his Deadpool costume on March 27. The photo showed him in costume spread out in a sexy pose on top of a bearskin rug.

"Deadpool" will open in theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
