Selfies have become a new form of communication. Most people take selfies at work, on vacation and all over the world. But what if you could take a selfie while you were visiting certain websites? This is the idea behind Google's latest prank.

On April Fool's Day, Google Chrome mobile users will notice a new button on their app that will let them take a selfie while surfing a website. Clicking the button will activate "Selfie mode," which will let the user select what portion of the screen they want to appear in the selfie. Users will then be able to share the selfie with the world on the social network of their choice. The post will be tagged with #chromeselfie. The #chromeselfies began appearing as soon as time zones started their April 1.

So, are you looking at a vacation site? Take a picture showing off your plans! Are you scanning the latest news updates? Take a picture of your response to the headline (Just don't take a selfie while looking at porn. There's no way that could end well for you.)

However, the prank won't require a special update. Users will have access as soon as they activate the app. It's clear that this feature was installed in the most recent Chrome update.

The search giant also released a Google Earth update that lets players play Pac-Man on their road maps.

Last year, Google released a variety of prank products, including Magic Hand, The Google Map Pokemon Challenge, WazeDates and more.
