Gillian Flynn's next big screen project is going to be with famed producer Steve McQueen.

The author and screenwriter of "Gone Girl" is set to pen the script for the untitled project that is based off of the British miniseries "Widows," according to Deadline.

The thriller revolves around a failed heist attempt. After four robbers are killed attempting the job, their widows decide to finish it. As A.V. Club points out, Flynn is the perfect person to write this type of film, as all of her books feature main female characters solving various disturbing situations.

Iain Canning and Emile Sherman, who both worked on 2011 Best Picture winner "The King's Speech," will produce the film alongside McQueen.

Flynn is coming off writing the screenplay for her book "Gone Girl," which saw her team up with director David Fincher. The pair is currently working on "Utopia," a British miniseries import coming to HBO, according to Deadline.
