Deadpool has been revealed.

Ryan Reynolds posted the first official look at his Marvel superhero in costume, spread out on a bear-skin rug and in front of burning wood fireplace.

The official Twitter account for "Deadpool" also launched today to retweet Reynolds photo. "Eat your heart out Burt Reynolds," the movie's tweet read.

Reynolds first portrayed the Marvel character in the 2009 film "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." Fox has had a solo Deadpool movie in development for years and officially slated the film for a 2016 release earlier this fall. Test footage of the actor as Deadpool, shot a few years ago, also leaked in late July.

The new father last suited up as superhero in "Green Lantern," the much-maligned movie for Warner Bros. The studio plans to recast the part for its upcoming slate of DC Comics films.

"Deadpool" will open in theaters on Feb. 12, 2016
