The St. Louis Rams are not averse to making big moves. We've seen that this offseason with the trade of Sam Bradford and in years past with the RGIII deal. Head coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Snead are clearly not afraid to shake things up. That is why the Rams have been mentioned as an unlikely but interesting landing spot for running back Adrian Peterson.

Peterson's camp has made it known that he wants out of Minnesota. The Vikings have made it known that they will not release him. However, the Vikes may not want to shell out just south of $13 million for a disgruntled employee next season, making a trade a remote possibility.

"So what does any of this have to do with the St. Louis Rams," ESPN's Nick Wagoner wrote. "Well, not much. Given Peterson's age (30), price ($12.75 million base salary in 2015) and the cost required to get him, it seems all but certain the Rams wouldn't be players in any bidding war for Peterson.

"Here's a thought and it's one I've floated before: If the Rams are dead set on being a team centered on winning with defense and a strong run game, wouldn't it be worth kicking the tires to see if something could work out? By no means am I saying that's the right way to go about building a team but looking at it within the confines of what coach Jeff Fisher says he wants his team to be, doesn't Peterson give him a chance to truly build a team in that mold?"

St. Louis has amassed an impressive collection of young talent over the last few seasons. Peterson would be the cherry on top for a roster that is on the precipice of contention. Of course, a deal for the former MVP is highly unlikely and probably not the Rams' best course of action. But it remains a slight possibility nonetheless.
