A Long Island woman was held for 8 days straight at a Harlem mental institution after she insisted that President Obama follows her on Twitter, which made doctors think that she was delusional and suffering from bipolar disorder.

Thirty-two-year-old Kam Brock attempted to retrieve her car that had been impounded by the NYPD in Sept. 2014 after she was suspected of driving while being high on marijuana, according to the New York Daily News.

When she arrived to pick up her 2003 BMW 325Ci, she was reportedly "emotional," but she reassured officials that she was not "emotionally disturbed."

Police officers at NYPD's Public Service Area 6 stationhouse then allegedly handcuffed Brock and took her to the hospital.

"Next thing you know, the police held onto me, the doctor stuck me with a needle and I was knocked out," she told the Daily News. "I woke up to them taking off my underwear and then went out again. I woke up the next day in a hospital robe."

After being heavily sedated, Brock made a desperate plea to get officials to listen to her, but it was a wrong move.

She brought up social media and said that the president follows her on Twitter in order to describe "the type of person" she is, however, doctors were skeptical and didn't believe that Obama would follow her - even though he does, along with 640,000 people worldwide!

"I'm a good person, a positive person. Obama follows positive people," Brock said.

Doctors still allegedly forced her to attend group therapy and injected her with sedatives. When she was finally released, she wasn't given a reason but was left with a "master treatment plan" that stated: "Objective: Patient will verbalize the importance of education for employment and will state that Obama is not following her on Twitter."

It also noted "patient's weaknesses: inability to test reality, unemployment," the NY Daily News reported.

Harlem hospital sent Brock a bill worth $13,637.10 that she is trying to win back in her suit for being involuntarily incarcerated.

The hospital declined to comment.

"Follow me on Twitter! Like Obama does!" Brock said, trying to make light of the situation.
