We know that there are going to be a lot of super villains and anti-heroes in director David Ayer's "Suicide Squad." The Joker (Jared Leto), Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman) and possibly even more characters will be employed to expand DC's growing Cinematic Universe.

What we don't know is what this movie will be about. It may be set largely in Arkham Asylum or Bell Reve Prison, but it also may not. The framework of the plot has come only in the form of unconfirmed rumors and hushed whispers. It is in that vein where actor Jackie Earle Haley is reportedly being courted for the role of The Thinker as one of the film's major antagonists, according to Umberto Gonzalez of Latino Review.

If true, it is still unknown what version of The Thinker Haley might be playing. The first iteration appeared in the 1930s and battled the Flash. Another version of the character was even apart of the Suicide Squad for a time. Either way, Haley makes sense for the role.

Arguably, the "Robocop" actor's best role was as Walter Kovacs/Rorschach in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" director Zack Snyder's "Watchmen." Reuniting with Snyder could prove mutually beneficial.

In addition to The Thinker, characters such as Doctor Hugo Strange, Deathstroke and even Ben Affleck's Batman are expected to make appearances in "Suicide Squad." It will be a crowded affair of well-known DC faces, that's for sure.
