IMDb has updated its mobile apps for Android and iOS users. It now allows ticket purchases and improved options to browse through the watchlist.

IMDb has updated its mobile apps for all Android and iOS users Monday, with new options, improved watchlist and better performance within the app. The latest Version 3.3 allows mobile users in the United States to purchase movie tickets while browsing through the largest database of movies. Users can check availability of the movie in the theaters and purchase tickets from Fandango by selecting the movie and the time from the app.

IMDb updated its mobile version last year, with addition of HD-quality movie trailers to help users make their cinematic decision. The latest update helps users to go a step further and book the tickets for the movie of their choice in the nearest cinema theaters.

The app also gets updated watchlist options, which allow sorting and filtering of the movies and TV shows on users' watchlist. In addition to Monday's update, users can also purchase DVD and Blu-ray discs of favorite movies and TV shows directly from the phone by selecting "Search via Amazon Mobile" to check the availability.

To make DVD and Blu-ray purchases, users will need to install Amazon mobile app.

IMDb has fixed some bugs to enhance the viewing experience within the app.

The updated app is available online from App Store and Google Play.
