It may not take another 25 years, but there seems to be an issue with the "Twin Peaks" reboot that Showtime announced last October.

Series co-creator David Lynch recently made some comments about the return of the beloved series that question what is happening, reported Cinema Blend. While at the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane, Australia to promote an exhibit, he said that he is "not sure" if "Twin Peaks" will return as Showtime promised fans it would last October.

"I haven't returned yet and we're still working on the contract, but I love the world of 'Twin Peaks' and I love those characters. And I think it will be very special to go back into that world," Lynch said.

The comments on the state of the reboot come after Lynch successfully championed Kyle MacLachlan to take out his best suit and reprise the role of Special Agent Dale Cooper.

The situation may not be as bad as it seems though, as Entertainment Weekly reported that "everything is moving forward."

"Nothing is going on that's any more than any preproduction process with David Lynch," a source told EW. "Everything is moving forward and everybody is crazy thrilled and excited."

Still, you'd think that Lynch would be in the know about the health of the project, seeing how he is set to direct all of the episodes.
