New York Knicks president Phil Jackson will have significant cap space to use this summer for the first time since taking over, and he's expected to try to make a splash in free agency.  Among the list of free agents Jackson is expected to pursue, Miami Heat guard Goran Dragic, Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love and Orlando Magic forward Tobias Harris reportedly are at the top.

The Knicks will have around $28 million in salary cap space to spend in free agency, giving Jackson the ability to bring in some much needed help for aging superstar Carmelo Anthony.  Basketball Insiders' Steve Kyler speculated Jackson will likely chase Dragic, Harris and Love.

"There are a few that I would look at in New York - Dragic at point guard. I make an offer on Tobias Harris - 3 year deal. I make an offer on Kevin Love if he opts out. Then start sprinkling in 25 year old free agent-types," Kyler wrote Monday.

Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol was considered to be the apple of Jackson's eye, but with the All-Star reportedly unwilling to sign in New York, Jackson has seemingly moved on.  Soon-to-be unrestricted free agent Dragic purportedly listed New York as one of his preferred destinations to play in, but there's been no indication he plans to test the market in July.  At this point, it seems more likely Dragic will re-sign with Miami.

Harris becomes a restricted free agent this summer, and without a head coach in place, it's unclear how high of an offer Orlando would be willing to for him.  A report from the New York Post in November indicated Harris, a New York native, has "a lot of interest" in playing for the Knicks after turning down the Magic's extension offer.

New York has been linked to Love for some time, and several reports have indicated Love may test free agency after the season.

Other free agents the Knicks reportedly like include Greg Monroe, Jimmy Butler, Rajon Rondo and Reggie Jackson.
