"Empire" is about to get even bigger, and not just because of the craziness that will ensue on the season finale next week.

Show creator Lee Daniels told Access Hollywood on Thursday night that both Oprah Winfrey and Common will appear in season two of the Fox's smash hit.

"Yes. Yeah. She's gonna be on it," Daniels said of Winfrey, who he has worked with on "The Butler" and "Precious" in the past.

Daniels confirmed that he is writing a part for Common as well.

"Oh yeah, for sure... We're gonna have a good time," he said of Common.

The singer and recent Oscar winner for his work on the "Selma" song "Glory" has expressed his desire to join "Empire" before.

"I see Lee at the gym and they shoot 'Empire' in my hometown of Chicago," he told Access Hollywood over the weekend. "I would be a part of it if it was something that was the right character. I'm all about being a part of really quality things."

Winfrey had previously joked with Daniels about appearing on the show.

"It's not enough that you've taken every viewer possible on Wednesday night. Now you want me to leave my own network?" she jokingly quipped to the creator last week.
