Chris Soules has been proclaiming his love for Whitney Bischoff nonstop and seemed beyond happy at the "After the Rose" finale episode, but a new report suggests that Soules' heart may be aching for another woman . . . runner-up Becca Tilley.

In Touch claims that Soules only proposed to Whitney because she was a "secure bet" and that the "Bachelor" really wanted Tilley as "his wife."

Twenty-six-year-old Tilley revealed that she wasn't ready to take her relationship with Soules, 33, to the next level, according to Hollywood Life.

"He loved her (Tilley). And he probably still does. You don't just fall out of love with someone," an insider told In Touch.

Soules only proposed to Bischoff because "she loved him more," according to the tabloid, and he is now feeling "tremendous pressure" to make things work with her. It was also reported that when Soules proposed to Bischoff at his barn in Iowa, she kissed him aggressively and his body language hinted that he was not interested in being affectionate with her.

"What they need is alone time to build an actual relationship, and that isn't going to happen," the insider added.

Soules told Chris Harrison at the finale that he didn't regret his decision at all and referred to his new fiancée as "gorgeous on the outside" and "beyond beautiful on the inside."

Perhaps it is true love after all. Time will tell if the two are right for one another and can, in fact, make it work.
