If you think "Empire" is the hottest show on TV right now, just wait until next season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, co-creator Lee Daniels has tapped Oprah Winfrey to join the cast in season two.

Although Winfrey has not agreed to appear on the show yet, Daniels has inquired with her multiple times and is "wearing her down."

Daniels has directed two films that have earned Oscar-praise, "Precious" and "The Butler," and Winfrey was involved in both of them as an Executive Producer on the former and had a lead role in the latter.

Winfrey jokingly noted that Daniels should be satisfied with how well the show is doing rather than trying to recruit her for it.

"I tell him: 'Lee, it's not enough that you've taken every viewer possible on Wednesday night. Now you want me to leave my own network?' " she said.
