Despite having an illustrious career as a stand-up comedian and being the star of his own television show, a judge has ruled that Louis C.K. is a full-time film editor.

With the ruling from U.S. District Court Judge Katherine Polk Falia comes hefty pension and health fund fees, according to CNN Money.

Louis C.K. testified that he does a lot more stand-up and writing work than film editing, but the ruling states that he has to pay into the Motion Picture Industry Pension Plan, Health Plan and Individual Account Plan "as if he works 40 hours a week, 50 weeks a year as a film editor," CNN Money reported.

Because he technically can make his own hours, Louis C.K. is required to contribute to the max to those plans. That rule is in place so members of the union do not take advantage by always working the minimum hours.

The exact amount of money Louis C.K. owes to the funds has not been released, but the lawsuit dates back to 2010.
