Madonna is recovering from her fall down the flight of stairs when she was performing at the Brit Awards last week and is crediting her quick bounce-back to her exercise routine.

"If wasn't in good shape - tuck and roll," Madonna said with a laugh during an interview with the Associated Press. "I attribute a lot of the fact that I came out all right because I'm in good shape."

The 56-year-old singer fell down a flight of stairs while she was singing "Living for Love" at the Brit Awards. Madonna got right up from her fall and continued with her performance.

Madonna told AP that she likes to switch up her workout routine every so often to "keep things interesting, shock my body."

"I still do a lot of dance cardio. I started doing yoga again. I do interval training, metabolic interval training ... jumping ropes; something called body art," she said. "It has to change. You get bored doing the same thing over and over again."

While working out, she said she likes to listen to hip-hop, house and dance music, or anything with a tempo of "120-128 beats per minute."
