Mexico meets Canada on Thursday in the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.  The match begins at 11 p.m. ET.  Watch the live stream HERE.

Both teams go into Thursday with desperation after losing their opening round matches.  Canada suffered a surprising 1-0 loss to Martinique on Sunday, and Mexico was upset by a 2-1 loss to Panama, the MLSSoccer.com reports.

Canada has an even tougher job against Mexico with a somewhat depleted roster. Attacker Randy Edwini-Bnsuis is out because of injury, and Simeon Jackson, is unavailable due to club responsibilities in Europe.

Mexico manager Jose Manuel de la Torre is at risk to lose his job, and another disappointing result won't help his case.

The two teams met once in the Gold Cup during the 2000 tournament, where Canada came back in extra time and beat Mexico, 2-1.  Canada went on to win the Gold Cup that year.  Aside from Canada's lone Gold up win, the team has never beaten Mexico - in the four matches since, Canada has lost twice and drawn twice.

MLSSoccer.com lists Canada as the underdog.
