Leonard Nimoy may have left us this week, but his presence will forever prosper in the virtual world of "Stark Trek Online."

An online memorial for the man behind the beloved voice of Spock has appeared on "Star Trek Online," featuring two statues in the planets of Vulcan and "New Romulus."

While Vulcan is an obvious choice to "Star Trek" fans, New Romulus was chosen to represent Spock's work with the Romulan people after the events of the original series, reported io9.

"Based on where our community chose to congregate and pay their respects, we will be replacing the central structure on the fountain on Vulcan with a stone statue of Spock with the inscription 'Live Long and Prosper,'" Star Trek Online Executive Producer Stephen Ricossa wrote on Arc Games.

The statues appeared in the game for the first time on March 5.

"Star Trek Online" also plans to display black flags in the game's three main hub zones, Earth Space Dock, Qo'noS and New Romulus, with permanent plaques installed in each (marking the passing of Nimoy and his fellow original series co-workers Majel Barrett, James Doohan, DeForest Kelley, and Gene Roddenberry.)

On Feb. 27, the day Nimoy passed, more than 1,000 players spontaneously traveled to the in-game world of Vulcan to pay their respects, reported ComicBook.com
