When Kelly Clarkson learned she was being fat shamed by Katie Hopkins last month while sitting with Heat Magazine on an interview she had the best comeback yet.

"I don't have a clue what you're talking about," Clarkson told the magazine. "Someone tweeted something about me?"

She had no idea who Hopkins even was.

On Feb. 20, Hopkins - a British TV personality who intentionally gained and lost 42 pounds for a controversial TLC documentary - took to Twitter to discuss Clarkson's weight.

After Heat Magazine explained to Clarkson who Hopkins was she reportedly laughed and said, "Oh, and she's tweeted something nasty about me? That's because she doesn't know me. I'm awesome! It doesn't bother me. It's a free world. Say what you will."

Clarkson gave birth to her daughter, River Rose, in June 2014. The American Idol alum also has a 13-year-old step-daughter, Savannah.

Clarkson told the magazine she hopes to teach the girls to be happy with who they are.

"I've just never cared what people think," Clarkson told the magazine. "It's more if I'm happy and I'm confident and feeling good, that's always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family - I don't seek out any other acceptance."
