ESPN The Magazine's "The Body Issue" hit shelves on Wednesday, July 10. The annual issue contains 20 athletes baring everything for the camera, and it features eight different covers. Below are the best five covers from this year's edition.

5. Kenneth Faried. The Denver Nuggets forward is captured in mid-air as he cocks his arm back to dunk. The slate backdrop and hard light on Faried makes his body appear statuesque. The coolest part of the photo is his dreads flying in the air behind him.

4. Colin Kaepernick. As the San Francisco 49ers quarterback stepped into the spotlight last season and led the 49ers to the Super Bowl, his tattoos became a talking point. Now the 25-year-old's ink is on the cover of ESPN's magazine, displayed as the chiseled quartberack is captured doing his best "Six Million Dollar Man" run impression.

3. Courtney Force. Best known as an NHRA Funny Car drag racer, Force stepped into the mainstream to grace one of the eight covers. She's featured in a vast, empty desert sitting atop a massive Goodyear tire. She's casually leaned back, an arm draped over her breasts and the sun kissing her skin.

2. Sydney Leroux. The 23-year-old U.S. women's soccer player is captured mid-leap against a black backdrop. The uneven lighting casts soft shadows over parts of her naked body, contrasting with spots of harder light to accentuate some of her curves.

1. Gary Player. The pro golfer is 77 years old and courageous enough to swing golf clubs in the buff. Enough said.

Tarah Geiger, Kerri Walsh Jennings and Giancarlo Stanton also appear on covers.  You can view all of the ESPN photos HERE.
