Noel Gallagher tells it how it is.

The former "Oasis" singer has a knack for being brutally honest, so much so that he has publicly had issues with his brother and former band mate Liam Gallagher. This quality has always made him a very candid interview.

While talking to Rolling Stone recently, Noel Gallagher went on one of his classic tirades, this time against the current state of pop music and a few artists, specifically.

He starts by dissing the Grammys after being asked if he watched them.

"No. I can't really stomach things like that," he said. "Everybody's too nice. You cannot have a room with 5,000 people, who are all fans of each other. That's not real."

Like Oasis, Beck was quite popular in the 1990s, and Gallagher took the opportunity of talking about the Grammys to mention the Kanye West-Beck "feud."

"He's a character, I'll give him that," Gallagher said of West. "And I love his track 'Black Skinhead.' But somebody needs to buy that dumba** a dictionary so he can look up the word 'artistry.' Beck can play the banjo... nobody plays the banjo! Get him a dictionary from me."

Gallagher was just getting started.

When asked if he listens to pop music, Gallagher said "No. It's fuc**** awful."

"Modern pop music is bland nonsense. There isn't even a word yet that's capable of describing it. If it was a color, it would be beige. Do you know what color beige is?"

He then went on to talk about songwriter Ed Sheeran selling out Wembley Stadium, and was shockingly calm and well-mannered about it.

"Am I going to take my own life, is that what you mean? No," Gallagher said, according to Rolling Stone. "He's all right, Ed. He took it with good humor, which is how it was meant. I was bemoaning the fact that the biggest rock bands in England can't even sell out Wembley, and yet pop music can."

Gallagher once again dropped the nice act when talking about America's pop sweetheart Taylor Swift, though.

When the reporter said that Swift has been praised for being a pop star who is a talented songwriter, Gallagher let loose:

"Who says that? Her parents? Name these people. You're fuc**** lying. She seems like a nice girl, but no one has ever said those words, and you fuc**** know it."

He didn't have all negative things to say. In the same interview, Gallagher talks about his love for U2, the members of One Direction (not their music though!) and, oddly enough, "Seinfeld."

Gallagher did say he likes some current music, specifically Alt-J's song "Left Hand Free," but there's a catch.

"I am in no way a fan of Alt-J," he said after explaining his adoration of "Left Hand Free." "...One of them's got a mustache, and that's unacceptable."
