In recent weeks, lots of photos have surfaced from companies and website claiming they've gotten their hands on a version of the new rumored low-cost iPhone 5 from Apple with a plastic shell that comes in a variety of colors.

The latest to claim its gotten a prototype of the plastic iPhone 5 is Techdy, a company that creates Android knock-off handsets of high-end devices, that not only claims to have gotten its hands on the device but offers a video, seen below, detailing the new bit of hardware, supposedly form Apple Inc., in full.

Nothing about the supposed leaks seems surprising; all that rumors are promising is a low cost version of the iPhone 5 that will likely cost $350 in an attempt to join Android and get a little bit of the low-cost smartphone market for itself. Many users concerned with their budget have already expressed great interest in a less expensive iPhone for their first smartphone purchase.

The images on Techdy show a version of the iPhone 5 that is very similar to the iPod Touch, with a smooth white plastic backing that, according to the website, does not feel cheap at all.

Comparison shots of the supposed plastic iPhone 5 and the regular iPhone 5 show the plastic version as being ever so slightly thicker than its predecessor.

Despite how legitimate the images look, especially when compared to other supposed leaked images of the plastic backed iPhone 5, it all has to be taken with a grain of salt. For one, Apple Inc. has not even confirmed that is building a low-end plastic iPhone. In addition, the company claiming to have its hands on the device makes knock-offs and is already marketing an Android-powered clone of the device, a little too quickly for something they supposedly just recently got their hands on.
