The Jacksonville Jaguars will enter the NFL free agency period in March with the most salary cap room of any team in the league.

Luckily for them - sort of - they also have the most holes to fill in their lineup.

The combination of cash and need means the Jags are likely set to make some serious noise once the opening bell rings on March 10.

One player the team is reportedly set to pursue, is mammoth Detroit Lions defensive tackle, Ndamukong Suh. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the expectation is, head coach Gus Bradley and GM David Caldwell will make a "very strong play" to land Suh on the open market.

Suh is going to break the proverbial bank one way or another, whether it's with the Lions or another NFL team. The Jaguars have a number of good, if not great players along the defensive line for Bradley's 4-3 Under. Red Bryant is a hefty run-stopper and Roy Miller, recently signed to a four-year contract extension, is a steady, reliable presence.

With Sen'Derrick Marks' status in question after tearing his ACL in the final game of the season, the addition of a versatile, often unstoppable player like Suh could elevate the entire Jacksonville defensive group to an elite level.

On the offensive side of the ball, the pass catching position for the Jags has an eerily similar makeup to the defensive line - a lot of good, young players - Marqise Lee, Allen Hurns, Ace Sanders - but no one you could call elite.

La Canfora expects that to change in free agency.

"The Jags will be looking for a high-end pass catcher as well. If they ended up with either Randall Cobb or Julius Thomas I would not be surprised in the least."

Cobb, it was revealed by La Canfora, is likely gone from Green Bay as Packers GM Ted Thompson believes the contract he's looking to receive on the open market far outweighs his actual value.

Thomas is in a similar predicament with the Broncos. Denver would reportedly like to see the athletic tight end return to the fold, but Thomas has made it known he'd like to become one of the highest-paid players at his position and that simply may not jibe with the long-term plans for GM John Elway.
