A schoolgirl apparently has photographic proof of a ghost roaming the halls of Hampton Court Palace in the London Borough of Richmond.

The Grey Lady, also known as Dame Sybil Penn, has been rumored to haunt the palace for more than two centuries, but now, thanks to an iPhone camera, there is a picture of her.

According to the Daily Mail, 12-year-old Holly Hampsheir was at the palace and took out her smartphone to snap a picture of her 12-year-old cousin Brook McGee walking the halls. What she captured appears to be the Grey Lady of Hampton Court walking behind McGee. A follow up photo was taken, and the Grey Lady does not appear to be in it.

"I was totally freaked out. I didn't see anything," McGee said. "People say the room goes cold when ghosts appear but we had no idea. We haven't slept properly since."

Some aren't fully convinced the picture is real and think it is Photoshopped, but the long dark hair and long dress make it seem believable.

Penn died in 1562 from smallpox. In 1829, her tomb was moved when the palace's church was rebuilt, and since then she has been rumored to haunt the building.

The Grey Lady is not the only ghost that calls Hampton Court home though.

Famously, Henry the VII's fifth wife, Catherine Howard, was accused of adultery and then dragged through the home by a ghost. Following Howard's beheading, it's believed that she now also haunts the palace.
