"Glee" is coming to an end.

The fan-favorite musical series has officially finished filming the sixth and final season. Matthew Morrison, who played teacher Will Schuester during all six seasons of the show, revealed to E! Online that production wrapped on Saturday and shared details about the show's series finale.

"We just wrapped about an hour ago," Morrison shared. "It was a tough day. I'm not going to cry now because I kind of got it all out, but it was a really tough day."

The actor reveals that he sang the final song in the final scene of the series finale, saying, "It was a beautiful send-off. But it was tough. I was singing to all the kids and Amber Riley starts crying and I'm like, 'Come on, don't do this to me right now.' And then Lea Michele starts crying and then Darren Criss and Chris Colfer."

He added, "There were a lot of hugs and a lot of tears. It's been an amazing almost seven years."

Several stars of the series took to social media to share pictures from the final days of filming. Lea Michele posted a group photo on Twitter featuring nearly the entire cast of “Glee,” including guest star Jonathan Groff. Michele captioned the picture, "Forever my family."

“I can’t believe tomorrow is our last day at glee. It is going to be such an emotional day,” Michele tweeted on Friday. “But I’m so grateful though to have had this incredibly amazing experience. Thank you so much to all of our amazing Gleeks who supported us so much! I love you guys. We were so lucky to have had the most amazing crew who worked so hard everyday to make the show amazing. I’m so grateful for them. So thank you all again so much from the bottom of my heart. I will miss Rachel Berry so very much.”

Actor Darren Criss also took to Twitter, writing, “So many things goin down in Gleeland. Last night I got TV married, and today…today is my last day of working on #Glee. Along with the entire cast, crew, and production team. It has been the privilege of a lifetime…Thank you all for your enthusiasm, your hard work, and your kindness. I’m so proud and feel so fortunate to have been a part of this family. And to our beloved #Gleeks- you changed our lives as much as you think we changed yours… Thank you for supporting us all these years.” Glee airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
