Jason Statham is has done some of the most awesome and most amazing things in movies. He has also dome some pretty cool things in real life as well. Before he stepped onto the big screen to beat up bad guys and drive extremely fast cars, Statham was into diving, according to

"I did it for a little while; it was a silly hobby,” said the “Fast and Furious 7” star. It must have been a hobby he was pretty committed to—he competed on the United Kingdom Olympic diving team.

Statham added: "I was on holiday with the parents years and years ago and I saw some guy do a high dive and I said, 'You know what, let me have a go at that.' It was just this stupid idea that I'd be able to do,”

(Don’t we all wish we could watch a sport and nonchalantly turn into Olympians.)

"I was on the British team for, like, 10 years and I ran around the world competing,” Statham continued. (Again, he really must have been committed to this hobby.)

No matter how much success Statham had, or could have had, if he continued, transferring from the diving board to the Big Screen was probable a smart move.

Instead of olympic diving, he now acts in movies which include lots of explosions, expensive cars and very beautiful women.

He is even dating supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

While he may have stopped diving, the “Transporter” star is still a fan of the water.

"I go under the water now, instead of above it... I like scuba diving. It's great, down there with the fishes," he said.

Jason Statham will play Ian Shaw in “Fast and Furious 7” which is set to debut July 11, 2014.
