A cat named Mittens with huge glowing eyes will be sure to brighten up her new owner's home when she leaves the Fort Erie Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Mittens awaits a permanent place to live since she was rescued from abandonment Dec. 20 on Bethune Ave in Fort Erie, Pa. Rescuers did not find any identification on her, according to the community's SPCA's website.

Nonetheless, Mittens is ready to be adopted for $100 from the organization (410 Jarvis St Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada L2A 2T1.

The society's adoption fee includes spaying and neutering and administering shots.

The group's building is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The non-profit is not open on Sundays.
