Apple Inc. will reach another milestone for its popular iOS App store when it has its fifth birthday on Wednesday. In anticipation for the event a few of the most popular apps are going for free on the market place.

According to ValueWalk, popular titles for iOS like "Infinity Blade II" and "Tiny Wings" for free. The likelihood is that the company is getting generous with its apps in order to promote its fifth anniversary of the App store. However, Apple Inc. has not released any kind of statement or list of the apps that are on discount or being offered for free. With no confirmation from the company or app developers, there's not only no telling for sure why these apps are free, but if they'll be alone.

Other titles with discounts available are on apps like: "Badland," "Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP" and "Wherer's My Water." In addition to the free ones, there are a few that aren't quite complimentary, but they might as well be. For example, Apps like "Barefoot World Atlast," "Day One," "Over," and "Traktor DJ for iPad" have had their prices slashed by as much a $0.99 for a $19.99 App.

The news comes just one week after the company sent out a poster detailing a timeline of major milestones in the App Store's five years. The milestones included the explosive growth to one billion apps in 2009, 10 billion in 2011 and 50 billion this past May, according to Apple Insider.
