We never knew Aquaman could look so badass! "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" director Zack Snyder shared the first official photo of Jason Momoa as Aquaman late Thursday night on Twitter.

"There is only true King. #unitedtheseven," Snyder captioned a photo of Momoa staring into the camera with his chiseled physique covered in tattoos and armor.

It's been rumored that Momoa's character will make his big screen debut in "Dawn of Justice," due out in March 2016. Even though the 35-year-old actor isn't listed as one of the main stars, many insiders believe that Aquaman could at least make a cameo appearance, E! News reports.

The character is then expected to be in the first "Justice League" movie before starring in a solo film. According to reports, Momoa's Aquaman will then join other DC superheroes for the second "Justice League" film, scheduled to be released in 2019.

During Walker Stalker Con in Atlanta, the former "Game of Thrones" star dished about his DC Comics role and Snyder's vision for "Dawn of Justice."

"The greatest thing for me is that Polynesians, our gods, Kahoali, Maui, all these water gods, so it's really cool and an honor to be playing a [water] character," he said. "And there's not too man brown superheroes, so I'm really looking forward to representing the Polynesians, the natives.

"My family is some of the greatest water men on earth. I'm not, but I'm going to go train with them. But it's really an honor just being a Polynesian. And water is the most important thing in this world and we all know it. It's cool to be a part of DC's universe. I'm really excited to be with Warner Bros., and hopefully everyone likes it. And Zack Snyder's a genius, so I'm really excited to be hanging out with him."

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released March 25, 2016; "Justice League Part One" is due out Nov. 17, 2017; "Aquaman" will hit theaters July 27, 2018; and "Justice League Part Two" is scheduled for June 14, 2019.
