Mathew Knowles, Beyonce's father, has tied the knot with former model, Gena Charmaine Avery,  in Houston, Texas, after being engaged for a year and half.

Beyonce's father and former manager, Mathew Knowles, finally exchanged wedding vows with former model Gena Charmaine Avery, last Sunday in Houston, Texas. Mathew's representative told the Associated Press that the head of Music World Entertainment is officially married for the second time, after his divorce from Tina Knowles in 2009.

Mathew has two children, Beyonce and Solange Knowles, with his ex-wife Tina. They ended their 29-years of marriage in 2009 after it emerged that Mathew had a secret son with former Scrubs actress Alexsandra White following an 18-month affair.

Mathew constantly guided his daughter Beyonce to superstardom with the R&B girl group Destiny's Child and then in her solo career. Her debut album, "Dangerously in Love," earned five Grammy Awards and sold over 11 million copies worldwide.

The 61-year-old Knowles had been engaged with 48-year-old Avery for a year and half, reports Associated Press.

Mathew, as the head of Music World Entertainment, still manages several gospel acts including Grammy-winner Le'Andria Johnson, the report adds.

In the mean time, Beyonce threw a party to celebrate her husband Jay Z's new album ""Magna Carta Holy Grail" in Brooklyn. Jay Z's sisters, Andrea and Michelle Carter, and nephew Jarrell Carter joined the party, which also had a dance off. Celebs including Timbaland, Nick Cannon, Tyson Beckford, Raekwon, and Adrienne Bailon joined the party to congratulate the couple, reportsAceShowbiz.com.
