A British man wants men across the nation to shake off insecurities about their small manhoods at the first-ever "small penis party" to be held in the UK.

Party organizer Ant Smith, 48, told i100.co.uk the March 7 event is meant to help men celebrate their privates, no matter the size, instead of living with it as a source of shame.

"I think it's really important to maintain a balanced sense of fun. That's why I'm creating a celebratory party," said Smith, author of the popular "Shorty" poem about this "crooked little finger" which he performed around Britain.

"I've got various thoughts on what is a good and what is a bad small penis joke. And I do think humor is a great healer. So I'll just say 'keep laughing,' " he said.

For years, Smith struggled with the size of his penis, which is four inches when erect. That makes him smaller than the average size in Britain, which is between 5.5 and 6.3 inches, according to the UK's National Health Service. But Smith realized those numbers are misleading after speaking to his "average"-sized friends who also struggled with insecurity.

"People walk away thinking that seven inches is average. It isn't," he told i100.co.uk. "I wrote the poem in the first place partly inspired by the fact that one of my friends also told me that they suffered anxiety. They were six inches: there's absolutely no reason for them to.

"A lot of what I'm doing is talking to the average man and saying it's perfectly fine," Smith added.

As for women, the organizer urged against telling their partners things like "it's not small, it's big" for encouragement. Though coming from a place of good intentions, it can be counterproductive, according to Smith. Instead, opt for honesty.

"If a woman sees a guy who is under-average she should say 'yes, it is under average but that's not what is important to me,' " he said.

Women are also welcome to the event to be held in East London, including Smith's wife of the past 17 years.
