The Washington Redskins have two quarterbacks on their roster, which really means they have none. Both Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins struggled mightily at times last season. While those struggles have certainly torpedoed their trade value, they might have also opened up a desire to unload one of the signal-callers. Washington doesn't want to be bogged down in the same weekly controversies regarding their depth chart as they were last season. As such, it's possible RGIII or Cousins is wearing a different uniform next season.

"The combine is not just a good chance to scout college talent (and discuss free agency), it's also a time to initiate trade discussions with other teams," ESPN Redskins reporter John Keim wrote. "And, in a year considered to be a weak quarterback class in the draft, the Washington Redskins have options for other teams."

RGIII, the team's anointed savior in 2012, has fallen on hard times due to injuries, poor decision making and friction with two coaching staffs. Cousins, the team's fourth-round pick that year, has shown flashes of play making ability in between large stretches of maddening inconsistency. Both are flawed quarterbacks but both are intriguing talents to varying degrees. That's why it's possible Washington could look to move one of them this offseason.

Keim believes that Cousins could fetch a fifth-rounder while RGIII might merit a conditional mid-round pick. Neither QB helped their causes with poor showings in 2014.

"It's tough to see both Griffin and Cousins returning next season," Keim wrote.

Of the two, Keim leans towards RGIII returning to D.C. for the 2015 season.

"My gut tells me that Griffin will end up starting next year; my head tells me that he had better have won the competition and that there better not be a sense that it was handed to him from the top. Griffin needs a great offseason and needs to look good in the spring and summer to re-establish himself."

There are a handful of teams in the league that have some sort of quarterback questions at the moment. The Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets, St. Louis Rams, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans could all be looking to add some arm talent this offseason one way or the other.

Will the Redskins pull the trigger if an opportunity presents itself?
