Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney enjoyed an extra special Valentine's Day this weekend when the singer accepted Kinney's marriage proposal.

Gaga confirmed the engagement on her Instagram, posting a photo of the heart-shaped diamond that the "Chicago Fire" star slipped on her finger. "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!" she captioned the pic on Monday.

The couple celebrated at Gaga's family restaurant, Joanne Trattoria, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, according to Times Herald-Record executive editor Barry Lewis. He witnessed the 28-year-old performer showing off her new ring and overheard her saying "it was time" to family and friends.

Gaga and Kinney first met on the set of her music video for "You & I" in 2011 and started dating a couple months later. The couple broke up briefly in May 2012, but soon reconciled and have been together ever since.

The "Applause" singer stepped out on Monday in New York City wearing a purple fur coat, but kept her ring finger out of sight, according to Us Weekly. She discreetly covered her left hand with her right and then tucked her left hand inside the coat.

The couple haven't announced any wedding plans yet, but Gaga recently gave Howard Stern a little insight into what her wedding could entail during a recent interview.

"If I get married, I'll be hanging out in a pickup truck at a David's Bridal while my stylist is screaming at me," she told Stern (via Us Weekly).
