Kane Hodder, an actor/stuntman best known for his role as Jason Voorhees in a handful of "Friday the 13th" films, will play the killer in "Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp," an upcoming survival horror game.

Hodder will work on motion capture with renowned SFX artist Tom Savini. The pair will work together to record all of the murderer's movements and kills for the title, according to a report at BloodyDisgusting.com.

Wes Keltner, co-creator of "Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp," says Hodder possesses "the presence and demeanor that personify the unrelenting, undying killing force" that the studio was looking for in a psychopathic madman.

Hodder himself said he "jumped" at the chance to appear in the game, joking, "Everyone has their own skills. One of mine happens to be killing people on screen."

"Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp" is a third-person survival horror game from Gun Media. Heavily inspired by "Friday the 13th" and other '80s slasher films, you'll be able to play as either the killer or a camp counselor in a six-to-eight-player arena-style map.

The composer of the original "Friday the 13th" score, Harry Manfredini, is also on board to create the game's eerie soundtrack.

"Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp" will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. There is no release date at this time.
