Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly a single lady - again.

The Daily Mail reported that the 36-year-old former Pussycat Doll lead singer has split with her on-and-off boyfriend Lewis Hamilton after seven years together. The two began dating in 2007 and over the years have separated and reconciled several times.

"It was a mutual decision," a source told the The Daily Mail. "The long distance kept them apart for long periods of time. They both spent most of their time alone because they were in different countries all the time. Nicole is heartbroken and devastated."

A source told The Sun that the singer and Formula 1 champion have had a series of arguments over New Year's about their future and the arguments have been getting worse. Hamilton reportedly refuses to commit to Scherzinger and start a family - which is reportedly the reason behind the previous splits.

"They've been fighting for months but things had got much worse," a source told The Sun. "She finally had enough. Nicole knew Lewis had no plans to marry her, she's completely gutted and feels lost about her future."

In past interviews the "Don't Hold Your Breath" singer opened up about her long-distance relationship with Hamilton and said communication is was the key to making her relationship work.

"Trust and communication are key," Scherzinger explained in the August 2014 issue of Cosmopolitan U.K. "Me and Lewis are from similar upbringings, so we share a similar outlook. We're kindred spirits and hearts - that's what ultimately connects us. Ultimately, you want to be with someone you can be yourself around. My grandma taught me the person you want to be with isn't going to be Prince Charming-it's going to be the person you're going to be able to work on a relationship with."

In December, Hamilton revealed to E! News that he felt pressure from his family to purpose to Scherzinger, but later added that his lady love was "massively focused on her work the same as I am. We're happy just way we are."
