Taylor Swift is being attacked by the Westboro Baptist Church of Kansas City. The controversial, anti-gay church released a press release saying that they are planning on picketing Taylor Swift's August 3 concert where she is scheduled to perform at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo., the Huffington Post reports. The reason for attacking the country singer is because apparently the group thinks Swift is "a whore" and sets a bad example for young girls.

"She's widely loved. She's got huge approval ratings," Ben Phelps, grandson of the group's founder Fred Phelps Sr., told Radar Online. "What she's famous for is hoping around from one bed from another."

The group believes the 23-year-old singer, who is known for her many boyfriends, sets a bad example and said they do not approve of her behavior.

In the press release the group said they do not like how Swift pretends to be a "good Christian" but she's really not. Phelps believes it's her duty to use her success and influence to "promote the standards of God," instead of what WBC claims is "whoredom, fornication... that filthy lifestyle."

The Westboro Baptist Church announced that besides picketing Swift's concert, calling her "the whorish face of doomed America," they were also releasing two parodies of her songs "Love Story" and "White House" claiming that singer should use her talent to tell young girls to "stop fornicating and obey God" instead of singing "sin-coddling songs."

"It's not about the numbers," Phelps said. "It's about getting a message out. We really are not concerned with people's support. We're concerned about putting the standard of God out there. Especially when you have a person like this who is inexplicably loved and revered. She's a whore! I mean, come on!"

The church said about fifteen people will be supporting them but told Radar that they could care less about the numbers.

"This girl is a whore. Who else is say that if it's not the church of the Lord Jesus?" Phelps told the website. "She's coming into our backyard. We're gonna go preach to her."

Even though Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church seem more than ready to face Swift, they are known to have bailed on protests in the past. The Huffington Post reports that on 15 different occasions the group never followed through with their threats.
